Dear friends,
As Life Center, we want to take a moment to reflect on the recent ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon. We ask for your prayers that this fragile pause will endure and evolve into a lasting peace. The effects of conflict run deep, leaving many traumatized and uncertain about the future. Some refugees are cautiously preparing to return to their homes, while others remain hesitant, waiting for reassurance that true peace is at hand.
Our kitchen initiative remains active, providing meals to those in need and we continue to assist an increasing number of refugees, offering support and comfort during this challenging time. Though many appear strong, the emotional scars they carry are profound. We ask you to join us in lifting them up in prayer, that they may find healing, hope, and clarity.
Friday, 15 November 2024
On Friday, our church hosted a special lunch for 22 displaced families, filled with joy and fellowship. The day began with an icebreaker, followed by a delicious meal shared with church leaders, fostering meaningful conversations. A short sketch and a heartfelt message of hope reminded everyone of Jesus’ love and salvation.
The event ended with food parcels and towels distributed to each family, a small gesture of care and support. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of community, kindness, and God’s unchanging love.
The coming Christmas season
In faith and anticipation, we have begun decorating Life Center for Christmas, trusting that the Prince of Peace will come and mend what is broken. On Friday, December 20, we will host a special Christmas event for 500 children, sharing the joy of the season with toys, love, and the message of Christ. Your prayers are essential as we prepare for this celebration. May it bring light and hope to every child and family we serve.
We thank everyone who contributed to making the kitchen initiative possible, the kitchen team, volunteers, and leaders. Together, we created days filled with hope, comfort, and joy. And we also thank you for your ongoing prayers for our current and future projects.
May God continue to guide us as we serve Him by serving others.
With love and gratitude,
Said Deeb.
